How to play Yohoho.io

Every gold coin you collect on the map will directly increase your body size. The larger you are, the more health and weapon range you gain.

Killing other players boosts power fastest. When defeated, enemies drop all their gold.

Red deadly gas will inundate the island. As the match progresses, the combat space shrinks, pushing survivors to face off.

Gold from matches is accumulated. You can buy pirate characters with greater base power stats using them.

Controls

Movement: Drag the mouse cursor to navigate the character on the map.

Basic Attack: Simply Left-click to swing your sword and attack nearby adversaries.

Charge Dash: Hold the left mouse button to charge power, release to dash forward and hit hard.

Survival Tactics

When small, avoid engaging in melee combat. Focus on collecting unclaimed gold and only attack weaker opponents.

Large enemies always have a longer weapon reach. Maintain a safe distance and retreat immediately if you encounter giant pirates.

The charge-up skill is not only a finishing move but also the most effective movement tool to dodge damage or escape encirclement.

Don't stand in the centre of the map too early. Move along the edge of the toxic gas zone to maintain visibility and ensure you don't get attacked from behind.
